Sources and Additional Information:

He served in Co. A, 16th Regt. Tennessee Calvery, CSA during the Civil War.

He came with his family, brother, and sister from East TN after the War and settled at Gaither, Arkansas, ten mile SW of Harrison, near the head waters of Crooked Creek. He bought an 80 acre claim and later "proved up on it".
